HGV’s making left turns in urban areas is extremely hazardous. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists are particularly at risk of being caught in a driver’s blind spot. The number of cyclists on our roads is growing rapidly, as is the risk of a potentially fatal collision.

Cycle Sensor from Contel reduces the risk of a left turn incident with vulnerable road users, providing an audible and visual notification of your vehicles intention to make a left turn.

Indicator and speed activated.

Cycle Sensor is activated when the left hand indicator is selected. In addition, with our speed module, we deactivate the detection over a programable speed by taking a tachograph feed to minimise false alerts.
